Nest of Emotions
‘Nest of Emotions’ is a pack designed to help caregivers and their children through separation. It provides the tools to help families to comfortably communicate with each other, making the situation a little easier. The game is the first step to opening up conversation between family members, making children feel more comfortable talking about their feelings. The aim of the game is to journey through the forest, answering questions to overcome obstacles and claiming tokens to build your ‘nest of emotions’. The guide equips caregivers with information to help them and their children. Whilst the journal provides children with activities to understand and manage their emotions. This project pairs New Zealand birds with an emotion. They teach children about the different emotions and talk to them as friends. It also means children are able to look out for their feathered friends when outside. Done in collaboration with Tjasa Arandjus
